    Product Detail
  The five-wire resistive touchscreen, unlike the four-wire touchscreen, measures the x-y coordinates on the lower plate (Glass layer) and the upper plate (Film layer) acts as a sensor sensing the electric pressure drop on the lower plate.

When the user touches on the touchscreen, the ITO-coated conductive layer applied on the upper plate touches the ITO-coated conductive layer applied on the glass layer.

At this point, the controller recognizes the touch of upper and lower plates then apply a voltage drop onto the ITO-coated layer on the glass layer to indicate the x-coordinate; which causes the electric potential difference on the lower ITO-coated layer.

The upper plate senses the value of electric potentials and passes it to the controller. Then the controller translates it to an x-coordinate value. Simultaneously, the y-coordinate value is calculated in a same way. Finally, these calculated x-y coordinate values are passed to the computer and the location of touch is displayed on the monitor.
