D-Methyl lactate(CRG) is an ester of natural D(-) lactic acid, produced by bio-fermentation from grain starch. It is colorless, clear liquid having a slight characteristic odor. It is easily soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone, ester etc. and hydrolytic partially in water.
